Medicine Union criticizes Govt for not supporting domestic products

Medicine Union has criticized the Government for not supporting the domestic medicine products, though there has been millions of dollars has been invested on health sector.

Members of the medicine Union have stated that we have demanded the Government to provide lands for building factories but yet to fulfill their commitments.

Meanwhile officials in Afghanistan investment support Agency AISA said,” problems of medicine’s Union will be seriously pursued.”

There are 22 factories where they produce 120 types of medicines inside the country, the Government should support domestic producers to be capable to produce even for the neighboring countries and the region.

Officials in Medicine Union have also urged that 1400 acres of lands has been promised in Mirbachakot district but due to land grabbing issue the following lands hasn’t been delivered to Medicine Union yet.

Head of the medicine Union Abdul Khaliq Zazai said,” the Government doesn’t support the domestic products, and we were promised to 1400 acres of lands from the Government yet to see the promise to be fulfilled.”

Officials in AISA urged that more investments is needed on health sector in Afghanistan, this will be implementable based on the officials in Ministry of health and law.

“There are a lot of opportunities on the health sector in Afghanistan,but more work should be implemented on reforming the laws, that will enable domestic producers to stay on its own head of the ASIA Mohammad Qurban Haqjo said.”

Medicine Union members said there 15000 pharmacies around the country,it will created thousand jobs for those who are working within the pharmacies.
