A number of Afghan lawmakers believe that they have hurried in Kabul-Washington Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA) and NATO Status of Force Agreement (SOFA) ratifications after a senior TTP leader surrendered to Pakistan by American Forces.

Afghan Security officials were summoned to the Internal Security Commission of Afghan Parliament on Monday to provide justifications on Latifullah Mehsoud hand over to Pakistan by U.S. forces said that Mehsoud was cooperating in Afghan peace negotiations for the last two years and he has been surrendered without any coordination with them.

Shekiba Hashimi, a member of Internal Security Commission of the House said,” He was working for Afghan Peace negotiations since two years, Hakimullah Mehsoud was sacrificed when Pakistan was informed about these negotiations, after this there is no one living the other side of Durrand Line to cooperate with Afghan Intelligence.”

In addition, Abdul Rauf Ebrahimi Speaker of the House called Mehsoud hand over to Pakistan ‘a clear breach of Afghanistan Sovereignty’ while another MP call it against Kabul-Washington mutual agreement on BSA.

Latifullah had served as the deputy of the TTP chief Hakimullah Mehsood until he was arrested by Afghan Security Forces in Logar an eastern province in Afghanistan and recently handed over to Pakistan along with two other TTP men by U.S. Forces on Saturday.
