Millions of Afghani of power bill remains unpaid: Tauhidi

Officials in Afghanistan power department disclosed the names of top Afghan officials who still not paid their power bills, saying they are First vice President Gen Abdul Rashed Dustom, CE second deputy Mohammad Muhaqiq, the former Second vice president Karim Khalili, Atta Mohammad Noor, Juma Khan Hamdard and dozens of others are in the list who didn’t pay the power bills.

A document which is accessed by Ariana News indicates that hundreds top Afghan officials in the list who didn’t pay their electricity bills and the names are as below:

1-      First vice president Gen Abdul Rashed Dustom 296,333,28 Afghani.

2-      CE second deputy Mohammad Muhaqiq 00,255,533 Afghani.

3-      Former second vice president Mohammad Karim Khalili 00,320,811,1   — 00,085,987,1 Afghani.

4-      Balkh acting Governor Atta Mohammad Noor 394,552,2 – 368,577,5 — 323,123,10 Afghani.

5-      Former Paktia Governor Juma khan Hamdard 228,748 Afghani.

6-      Son of first deputy of Lower house Haji Qadeer 00,369,748 Afghani.

Meanwhile there are scores of residential Towns, International NGOs, Productive companies, constriction companies, and some local powerful figures in the long list released.

Afghanistan Power department Spokesman Waheedullah Tauhidi said,” since the electricity consumers were officially demanded to pay their bills, we could only receive 3,5 million Afghani the rest still unpaid.”

The Junbish party spokesman Abdul Basher Tainj said,” Paying the bills is under the process, those who are publishing such information is trying to underestimate Junbish Mili Afghanistan,”

Mp Habiba Danish said,” Afghanistan power department its self does the deal, and then makes suggestion to pay the bills.”

“Money should be paid because it belongs Afghan Nation treasury Mp Mohammad Hashim Farabi said,”

Afghan Government imports about 80 percent of its electricity from abroad, therefore the officials are responsible to pay the money for Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to extend lightening of Kabul the capital city of Afghanistan.
