Ministers to Be Summoned over Failure on Spending Development Budget: MPs

Chairman of the lower house of the parliament has significantly criticized the poor performances and failure of the Ministers on spending the allocated development budget for the fiscal year of 1395 on Wednesday, Parliament representatives with the majority of votes  decided to summon the Ministers in the near future.

Meanwhile head of the auditing joint committees in lower house said in special issue that even some of the Ministers will be dismissed or introduced to judicial institutions.

The majority of the budgeting sectors including Ministries have failed to spend even half of the allocated development budgets in past 10 months.

Members at the lower house of the parliament have demanded serious legal measurements to be launched for Ministers who failed to consume their budgets.

Lower house member Robaba Parwani said,” Parliament specially the representative’s house should decide immediately against those Ministers who have lacked spending of development budgets.”

“No compromised should made against those Ministers who have failed to spend the allocated budgets,” law maker Razia Mangal said.

Meanwhile head of the auditing joint committees at the lower house of the parliament Asadullah Saadati said, “Members at joint committees have decided to either dismiss the Ministers or introduce them to justice and judicial departments.”

Chairman of the lower house of the parliament Abdul Raouf Ibrahimi said, “Poor performances, neglects, irresponsibility and low capacity in consuming the budgets have caused that the development allocated budgets not to be spent completely, unfortunately this is injustice from the Government of Afghanistan to Afghan people. ”

Donor countries have always insisted on spending of the International aids through Afghan Government channel but it seems that Ministers are failing to consume the development budgets to improve the life of Afghans in the country.
