Afghanistan Ministry of Defense (MoD) has urged NATO to train and assist Afghan security forces with the new technologies.

Deputy spokesman of MoD said the Afghan security commanders should be tactically advised that they can correctly act in the battlefields.

“Afghan forces need more trainings and technologies. Our commanders should be professional in acting and ordering in the battlegrounds,” said Muhammad Radmanish, deputy spokesman of MoD.

Afghan Ministry of Interior also demand NATO to pay more attention on terrorist centers; citing Afghanistan would not have stability until terrorist safe havens not destroyed.

“One of our demand is the closure of terrorist centers beyond the borders and more pressures put on those institutions that support terrorism,” said Najib Danish, acting spokesman of MoI office.

Afghan Military analysts called NATO’s summit in equipping Afghan forces effective, saying the process should be properly implemented.

“Terrorism is a global threat and nowhere is safe from it. Adding more NATO troops in Afghanistan does not mean the continuation of war but it means the equipping and training of Afghan forces,” said Ishaq Atmar, teacher at university.

Today, NATO chief says the allies have agreed to send more troops to Afghanistan, to train, assist and advise Afghan security forces in the fight against terrorist groups.
