MoI Launches Program To Change Police Combat Role

Officials in Ministry of Interior Affairs have launched a program to change the fighting role of the Afghan police forces into a civilian police to have close ties with the people incoming 10 years, saying police forces were made to ensure security but they have left their own role within the society.

Meanwhile Police officials at European Union said turning Afghan police force fighting role is common and it is all over the world and it will be effective in Afghanistan.

Ministry of Interior Affairs Administrative Deputy Ikramuddin Yawar said,” People do not trust police forces, the current program will gain the people’s trusts and will enable them to support their police forces, and this will also help us reach to our target.”

Acting head of the European Police Union has stated that this is best way of turning Afghan police forces fighting role in a civilian police forces cooperating closely with the people.

Acting head of the European police Union Tarmo M. said,” Today is the best indication of good relationship between the police forces and community, since the highest leadership level is committed, I would like to thank each one of your for joining the police community gathering, We all know how police job is important, which is trust, and you trust people and in reverse people trust you.”

Head of the civilian police department in Ministry of Interior Affairs Homayoon Ayni said,” Top officials in Ministry of Interior Affairs have tasked to hold such session to bring the people closer with the police forces, the following program is Nationwide and it will cover all the country.”

At the end of the session the head of the civilian police department has demanded the International community to support such programs to bring Nation and police forces closer in Afghanistan.
