MoI starts reforms in procurement affairs

Afghanistan Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoI) started work on reforming the procurement affairs of the ministry.

The reform process of interior ministry includes; changes in structure, changes in the provision of services and the transparency and accountability.

According to officials in the ministry, monitoring and evaluation in procurement affairs have been greater than previous years.

Head of MoI procurement affairs declared that efforts are made that the development of regulatory mechanisms changes from slogan into practice.

“We have made simplification that the number of contracts becomes more and the volume becomes low,” said Nawid Bakhshi, Head of MoI procurement affairs.

The Ministry of Interior affairs created an electronic system for fight against corruption, transparency in the workplace, Professionalism and the correct calculation of HR staffs.

This comes as The transparency and evaluation institution has announced of widespread corruption in interior ministry, particularly its procurement department.
