More than 20 corruption cases of government officials under investigation

Afghanistan general attorney said on Monday that more than 20 corruption cases of government officials are under investigation.

The general attorney announced about the new approach against the government officials who are involved in corruption, saying the cases are under serious investigation.

Director of general attorney told to Ariananews that according to the law, and lack of court’s decree they cannot disclose the names of these officials.

Noor Habib Jalal, director of general attorney said, “The number of cases that are under investigation are in different categories of government officials. Investigations are seriously continuing and no one will be dealt further the law.”

Jalal stressed that the charges of no government officials will be deny and if a document exists about any government officials, they will be faced with a serious collision.

“Anyone who breaks the law and accused of corruption has no legal exemption and will be placed under investigation.” Habib Jalal added.

This comes as previously, seven cases of corruption from seven former ministers was sent to supreme court by general attorney but the final outcome of these cases are not clear so far.

Now, it should be seen if the general attorney’s investigation for more than 20 cases of corruption will be able to get to authorities to punish them or not.
