MPs Demand Summoning President to Parliament

The Lower House of Parliament says President monopolies all authorities and should be summoned to parliament based on the constitutions.

Parliament members declared that the cabinet of the government are incompetent authorities and the main responsive of the current challenges, particularly the mass killings is the President who should give clarity to the people.

Kabul representative in Parliament, Jafar Mahdawi said, “President must be summoned for clarity and if he does not have any response, we should take serious measures against him according to the 69th article of the constitution.”

Badakhshan representative in Parliament, Fawzia Koofi said, “The republic system is a mixed one and most authorities are given to the National Council. But what is now ongoing is that we see all decisions are being taken by President.”

Representative of Kunduz, Fatema Aziz said, “President is responsive for the all spilled bloods. Why he appointed disqualified authorities.”

A number of other lawmakers emphasized that the continuation of the current situation will lead the country to a big crisis which President should stop individualism.

Kabul representative, Farhad Sidiqi said, ” individualism of supercilious President caused the insecurity increases and he must be summoned at the earliest time.”

Representative of Daikundi, Sadiq Neli Zada said, “The main problem in the country is president himself. He does whatever he wants. We should prevent extrajudicial actions.”

Chairman of the lower house also stressed that President should desist from extra-legal measures.

Chairman of Parliament, Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi said, “The cabinet has no authority which has been given by the President. He is responsive with the current situation.”

Afghan lawmakers emphasized that the government must take practical steps to avoid the current challenges.
