MPs Insist On Dismissing Ministers Failed to Spend Development Budgets

Scores of members of the lower house of the parliament have insisted over dismissing of those Ministers who have failed to spend the allocated development budget for the fiscal year of 1395, saying soon the voting process will be launched for the Ministers.

Meanwhile Officials in Ministry of Finance have also stated that President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani will take decision after the having consultation with members of the National Assembly on dismissing of the Ministers.

One of the commitments of the Ministers while receiving the votes from the members of the parliament was to spend the development budgets as much as they could, but in the long run none of the Ministers could spend the determined amount and percentages made by the Ministry of Finance.

Mp Humaira Ayubi said,” Lower house should summon or dismiss those Ministers who have failed to spend the allocated development budgets for the fiscal year of 1395, otherwise President should decide about them.”

“ We will soon hold voting process to dismiss those Ministers at the lower house, they should be ashamed to be called Ministers to continue to work law maker Sayed Nadirsah Bahr said.”

Minister of Finance Iklil Hakimi said,” Most of the Ministers have failed to spend the allocated development budgets as we determined the percentages, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani will decide about those after the consultation process with the National assembly members.”

Government of Afghanistan has been pushing through to spend the International community aids through its channel , it seems that in most cases the Government have failed to spend the development budgets.
