Nangarhar police chief survives bomb attack

Fazel Ahmad Shirzad, provincial police chief survived a bomb attack while he was on his way to Achin district of Nangarhar.
“Mr. Shirzad convoy was on his way to Achin district while he was attacked by a bomb in Amanullah Khan residential town area,” Ataullah Khogyani, provincial governor spokesman said.
Khogyani says no one was affected as a result of the incident while another source who wish not to be named says three civilians were injured as a consequence of this attack.
Nangarhar is among the volatile districts in Afghanistan where the armed insurgent groups are actively operating in a number of its districts.
