NATO should Implement New Mission Properly: Wolesi Jirga

A number of the law makers in lower house of the parliament have said,” NATO should properly accomplish the new mission for Afghanistan which is training, equipping, and advising the Afghan security forces.”

According to their statements they have made the main reason that NATO has failed to combat Al-Qaida and terrorism in Afghanistan has been the negligent of the following organization.

After all if NATO doesn’t do the new mission as properly supporting Afghan security forces they will fail once again.

NATO will end their combat mission after one month in Afghanistan, based on the agreement made in between Afghanistan and NATO and the current status of the Afghan forces, NATO will begin its new mission on coming January 2015 and it will continue up to 10 years to help and support the Afghan forces.

The second deputy of the upper house Rafiullah Afghan Gul expressed his concerns saying we have experienced worst condition in 2013-2014 comparing to 2002 and 2003, despite of a lot of hopes and wishes that Afghan Nation had towards the International forces, we also did not see positive impacts of the International forces on security, economic.

One of the internal security member of the lower house Mohammad Iqbal Khohistani said,”NATO should support fully the Afghanistan Air forces to stand on their feet and defend the territory NATO should also equip Afghan forces with heavy and light weapons, he claimed that Afghan security forces recognize the areas and their country well than International forces, they could easily defeat the terrorism and its allies.

However dozens of the members in the house believed that Afghan forces should be equipped fully by NATO because this has been written in the mutual agreement signed by the Afghanistan parliament early this month.

This comes after the NATO secretary General in his latest statements has said,” NATO has accomplished its mission in Afghanistan and there will new page of mutual cooperation will be opened soon.
