NDS arrested 3 Haqqani Network terrorists in capital of Afghanistan

The National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s intelligence agency has arrested three terrorists belong to the Haqqani Network during an operative in Kabul City.
A statement released by the Afghan spy agency said the group was planning to perform suicide terrorist attacks in crowded areas of Kabul and was arrested with weapons and ammunitions.
NDS prevented a deadly attack by arresting the terrorists, the statement added.
The Haqqani terrorist network is a guerilla insurgent group fighting against US-led NATO forces and the government of Afghanistan. Maulvi Jalaluddin Haqqani and his son Sirajuddin Haqqani lead the group. The group operates on both sides of the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, though the movement is based in Pakistan.
