NDS disrupts Kabul terror plot by Haqqani Network

National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s intelligence agency has arrested a suicide attacker with a bag full of explosive devices on Tuesday in Kabul.

A statement released by NDS said, the terrorist had a plan to perform a suicide attack on police eight precinct in Kabul, but he was prevented by NDS members.

The attacker has confessed he was trained in Faizul Madares school of Shamshato in Peshawar city of Pakistan and was sent to Kabul by Haqqani terrorist network to target police eight precinct in Kabul.

This comes as Afghan intelligence forces thwarted a suicide attack in Kabul city by killing two suicide bombers on Sunday.

On Monday, a Haqqani terrorist network commander was arrested by NDS personnel in eastern Khost city of Afghanistan bordering with Pakistan while he was attempting to enter the city.

Afghanistan’s intelligence agency has increased efforts to prevent terrorist attacks as Taliban have intensified their insurgency across the country.
