New cabinet picks to be announced next week
The new ministerial nominees will be announced to Wolesi Jirga for a vote of confidence next week, Second deputy speaker of Wolesi Jirga said.
Muhammad Nazir Ahmad Zai, Second deputy speaker of WJ said that the government has promised to announce the new nominees including the nominee for defense ministry in the coming Wednesday.
It seems that the reason for delay in announcement of the remaining cabinet members is President Ghani and CEO’s trips to US.
Ahmad Zai noted that most likely most of the ministerial nominees will receive the votes of confidence by Wolesi Jirga.
“The remaining cabinet members will be announced in the upcoming Wednesday. We will begin to review all of their documentations.” Ahmad Zai said.
He added that representatives will vote for those who have expertise and competence.
After the announcement of the ministerial nominees, Wolesi Jirga will have a week to review the documentations of the nominees.
In the upcoming Wednesday ballot boxes will be set for the new cabinet picks in the Parliaments.
