Nine Killed as Truck Overturns in Herat

Provincial governor spokesman Jailani Farhad said the incident took place in Gardana Nakhut Sya area, in Farsi district of the province, when a truck overturned.
He added that all victims were taken to the medical centers in Shindand district of the province.
Accidents are common in Afghanistan’s highways where roads are often in a poor state.
Most of the traffic accidents are basically because of the carelessness, high-speed driving, insufficiency of traffic signs, and bad condition of the roads.
