IEC to announce election timeline for Parliament

Head of the Election commission Yousuf Nuristani has come to the lower house of the parliament to inform about new preparation for holding of parliamentary, district council elections in the country.

According to Nuristani coming Monday will the day to announce the precise date for holding parliamentary and district council Elections incoming next year.

He said,” the responsible institutions of Election will announce the exact date of holding parliamentary Election on Monday and we will fully respect the Election calendar.”

Nuristani has also claimed that we were ready to announce the date but due to some political disagreements we stopped.

The Government is supporting our decision,people, National assembly have also demanded that the demands and decrees of the President for reformation of the Election commission and selective committee should either be rejected to disregarded Nuristani added.

A number of Mps don’t trust the words saying Government doesn’t intend to hold Election in Afghanistan.

Lawmaker Ahmad Behzad said.” Government doesn’t have the intention to hold election,if the Government was willing it should have sent the draft law to lower house, therefore some don’t see their interests in holding Election and loya Jirga.”

There are two types of vision one is the legal and proper channel and the second one is adjective,if its legal the commission will run its responsibility, or if its adjective both leaders should decide and do not call it legal.”

Efforts on holding the parliamentary Election is totally depended to budget and security to have transparent and sophisticated Election in the country.
