Pakistan calls for Taliban,its affiliates to attend direct peace talks in March

Officials in Ministry of Foreign Ministry of Pakistan have reported that during a telephone conversation, has asked Taliban and its affiliates to attend the direct peace talks session which will be held in Islamabad in first week of March 2016.

Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman Mohammad Nafees Zakeria said,” all four Nation states who are involved in peace talks process will do their best to help peace process, trying support having contact with Taliban to convince them to attend the direct peace talks process.”

Meanwhile Afghan officials also demanded Pakistan to present 10 most famous Taliban figures in the direct talks.

Afghanistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman Shekib Mustaghani said,” We demand all Taliban including their affiliates to attend the direct peace talks process.”

“ We expect Pakistan Government to play their major role and encourage Taliban to attend the face to face talks with Afghanistan Political expert Mohammad Natiqi said,”

This comes after that Hezb Islami party led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar and Haqqani Network have welcomed the peace efforts.

Accessing peace is one of the most wanted desires of Afghans where Afghanistan Government insisted that if Taliban doesn’t attend the peace talks we will continue to our fight against them.
