Panjshir sees growth in foreign tourists
As foreigners slowly discover Afghanistan as a tourist destination, Panjshir information and culture department said Thursday that a group of foreigners, including a woman, is currently visiting the province.
The group is made up of US nationals and Czech Republic citizens and are in the province for two days. They are expected to visit Panjshir’s natural attractions and historical sites.
Maulana Nasrullah Malekzada, head of information and culture of Panjshir, met with the tourists in his office on Thursday and said: “You tourists, with your world travels, should strive for positivity between countries and reflect all the traditions and customs to the world.”
He added that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has a regular and clear plan for supporting domestic and foreign tourists.
Malekzada said many foreign tourists had visited the province in the past year. He said the new-found security in the country was the reason for this.
