Police in Balkh discover slaughterhouse of donkeys

Police officials in Balkh province have discovered a slaughterhouse where donkeys were butchered and its meat was sold within the markets as the Halal one for the consumers, they have claimed that 4 persons were arrested over the following case.

Local police officials in Sholgara district of Balkh province have also stated that the following slaughterhouse was located 15 kilo meters away from the center of the city.

Balkh criminal investigation police Chief Salahuddin Sultan said,” We have arrested 4 persons while killing of the donkeys in the slaughterhouse,”

One of the butchers said,” I was hired for 500 Afghani to slaughter donkeys, if the Government provides me jobs I wouldn’t do this dirty thing.”

Earlier Balkh police officials had discovered the other slaughterhouse where dozens of horses were killed and their meat was sold to the bazaar as the Halal meat in Mazar city.
