President Ghani Congratulates Trump’s Victory
After a tough campaign the Republican candidate, Donald Trump could manage to defeat Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee on Wednesday.
President-elect Trump who was speaking among his fans said his rival Clinton has called him to congratulate him on his victory.
In a statement released shortly after the Trump announced as the new President of the U.S., President Ghani congratulated the people of the America on behalf of the government and people of Afghanistan.
“President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan says that the United States of America is an essential and important strategic partner to Afghanistan in development of the country and fighting terrorism,” the statement said.
In the statement Afghanistan hopes to expand its relation further with the new leadership of the United States in a way that is in the interest of the two countries and nations.
