Presidential Citadel to announce decision on parliamentary election

President Ashraf Ghani will announce his decision on parliamentary election before the closure date of Wolesi Jirga work, Presidential palace said.

Afghanistan presidential citadel said that president Ghani will meet different groups in the next week and will solve all problems based on the constitution.

After months of waiting, it seems that the leaders of national unity government have reached to a final result on appointing the head and members of an electoral reforms commission.

The presidential palace has also voiced about the beginning of a special electoral reforms commission work.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan Wolesi Jirga reacted against the recent statements of the Senate’s chairman and some of Afghan senators.

A number of Wolesi Jirga members said that according to the law, they can remain on their post up to the next few years till the parliamentary election hold.

Recently, the Senate House and a number of politicians are said to consider the work of parliament have no legitimacy after 22nd of June.

At the other side, the presidential palace also considers Afghanistan-Pakistan ties full of tensions and stressed that Afghan government will clear its position against Pakistan and has raised its demands.

Earlier, in a trip to Kandahar province, President Ghani has said that an undeclared war between Afghanistan and Pakistan is ongoing for the past 36 years and Kabul made Islamabad to accept Pakistan and Afghanistan is in a war.
