President’s Swearing-In Ceremony On Monday
The commission appointed for holding the inauguration ceremony of new President announced Monday that the swearing-in ceremony will be held next Monday on 29th September, 2014.
The announcement came in a press conference by the head of the commission Muhammad Sadiq Mudabir.
He added the farewell party for President Karzai would be held tomorrow (Tuesday) where the government officials are invited to the Presidential Palace.
The Presidential candidates, Abdullah Abdullah and Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai, on Sunday signed the agreement on establishing a government of national unity.
Later to the agreement signed, the election commission announced the result of run-off votes, declaring Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai the President of Afghanistan and Abdullah Abdullah the chief executive.
