Qalaye Shahr village of Sar-e Pul recaptures by Afghan security forces

Afghan security forces recaptured Qalaye Shahr village of Kohestan district of Sar-e Pol province on Tuesday evening, Sar-e Pol security commander said.

Confirming the incident, Sar-e Pol security commander, Muhammad Asef Jabar Khail said that the incident conducted in security forces operation.

Kohestan district of Sar-e Pul has 114 villages that currently 24 of them are under government’s control and the rest of them are under Taliban’s role.

Sar-e Pol is one of the thirty-four provinces of Afghanistan, located in the north of the country which borders Jowzjan and Balkh to the west and north, Ghor Province to the south, and Samangan to the east. The province is divided into 7 districts and contains 896 villages.
