A number of Kabul residents especially women and girls have launched a campaign to illustrate their peace dreams on walls in Kabul.

This comes after a series of deadly attacks killed or injured many people in the capital in recent days.

“We yelled for peace as much as we could but nobody listened to our voice,” Marzia, a resident of Kabul told Ariana News. “Now we want to demonstrate our wishes in the walls.”

Apparently, the organizers aims to send peace messages to the government officials and anti-government elements by painting walls, asking them to ensure the security and end the ongoing war in the country.

Shamila, a young Afghan girl who was painting a wall in Kabul said,” all citizens need security and we want to deliver this message to the government officials because if they don’t have ears to listen they do have eyes to see our paintings.”

“Our aim is to celebrate the new year in a peaceful environment – away from war and violence,” Rabia, another resident said.
