Roadside bomb injures two people in Jalalabad

An explosion injured two people in eastern Nengarhar province of Afghanistan on Saturday morning.

The blast has occurred around 10:00 am in front of Nengarhar provincial council office in Jalalabad city.

Reportedly the target of the explosion was Abdul Mohammad, head of Human Rights office of provincial police.

Mohammad has confirmed that his driver and one of his body guards were injured as a result of the incident.

Eyewitnesses say it was a roadside bomb.

No group has yet claimed the responsibility of the attack.
