Russia, Uzbekistan Ready to Assist Afghan Peace Process

The powerful president of Russia, Viladmier Putin while meeting Uzbekistan president in Moscow, says, Kremlin is ready to provide any possible assistance for Afghanistan to succeed in long-delayed peace process.

“ Our countries working jointly to insure peace and stability across the central Asian region and help Afghanistan peace process lead to a convincing result. We want international partners to help these countries in fight with global terrorism, drug and extremism.” Putin said.

Meanwhile, the Uzbekistan president, Shawkat Mirzayouva confirming the Russian President comments on Afghanistan and says,” as you mentioned the security in Afghanistan is really vital to our country Uzbekistan. Thus, we would help the country through any meaning. We are supporting all Russian initiatives in Afghanistan.”

Russian is preparing for holding a security summit on Afghanistan in the midst of the ongoing month back in Moscow. While many countries including USA have been invited in the meeting, US rejected participating in the gathering.
