Selling of Armaments to ‘Enemies Is National Treason’: CE Abdullah

Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah says selling of Afghan military equipment to the “enemies is a national treason”.

Addressing at a Joint Conference on Combating Corruption in Afghanistan Defense and Security Sector, Abdullah said the Afghan forces’ ammunition is being sold out and the militants being supplied through. He called the trade a “national treason”.

Chief Executive stressed that even cash privileges for the martyred forces and medicines for injured forces were being “stolen”.

On its part, the Attorney General Mohammad Farid Hamidi said that corruption causes casualties to Afghan forces and weakens their capabilities against the insurgents.

The three-day Joint Conference was held Kabul to find and eliminate the roots of corruption in the security institutions.
