“The government should launch decisive winter offensive against the armed oppositions, otherwise; we will face more crisis and insecurity in the future,” said Farhad Sakhi, Senate first deputy speaker.

“If the government does not take serious measures in clearing terrorists in most parts of the country, war would me more intensify in the upcoming year, we must not lose this opportunity,” said Abdullah Qaraqul, secretary of Senate.

In the meantime, Senators emphasized on effective plans by the government in the current winter offensive.

“The current winter-offensive does not have any result, and widespread operations should be launched for suppressing terrorism,” said Senator Jomauddin Geyanwall.

Senator Muhammad Asef Sidiqi said, “The armed oppositions of the government should be tracked village to village in the current winter-offensive and we should not allow them to be more active in the upcoming seasons.”
