Senate House approves BSA

The Upper House of the Parliament – Meshrano Jirga approved the bilateral security agreement (BSA) between Kabul-Washington on Thursday.
The Security agreements between Kabul-Washington was approved by 65 senators and rejected by 7 senators.
Afghanistan has signed long-delayed security pacts with the United States to authorize deployment of a small international military force in the country after the end of the year.
The signing ceremony took place on 30th September in Kabul’s presidential palace where Afghan national security advisor Hanif Atmar and American Ambassador James Cunningham inked the so-called Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA).
Earlier, Lower House of Parliament – Wolesi Jirga approved the security agreement and forwarded to the
Upper House of the Parliament – Meshrano Jirga for approving.
