A number of Afghan Senators have voiced concern over the release of dangerous prisoners under the name of members of Hezb-e Islami party.

According to Senators,  more than two thousand inmates under the name of Hezb-e Islami members will be released in the near future.

“It is scheduled that more than two thousand prisoners to be released from Pol-e Charkhi prison or other jails under the name of Hezb-e Islami members. They should not change to pain for Afghan people,” said Senator Gulalay Akbari.

Chairman of the Senate House urges the government and the Hezb-e Islami group to avoid any misuse in this field.

“Those who are the real members of Hezb-e Islami party support the peace agreement and live in the light of constitution with their brothers and sisters and we welcome them. But we are opposite of any misuse in this issue,” said Fazlul Hadi Muslimyar, chairman of Senate.

However, the Afghan government rejects any misuse regarding this issue.

Previously, a number of Taliban members released from prisons and again joined the Taliban ranks.

Hezb-e Islami party said currently around 2600 members are in jail that the party is trying to release them.
