Senators welcome Hezb-i- Islami joining peace talks

Afghanistan senators have welcomed the Afghanistan opposition party called Hezb-i- Islami for joining peace talk’s process.

They have accused Pakistan for raising security challenges in Afghanistan while Afghan Government is committed to pave the way for peace talk’s process.

Afghan upper house speaker FazelHadi Muslimyar said,” accusing Pakistan for having dual policy towards Afghanistan, if leader of the Hezb-i- Islami Gulbuddin Hekmatyar is willing to join peace talks we will welcome him, and he also needs assure that he is committed to join peace talks.”

“We welcome opposition party led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar for joining peace talks, Afghan Government should also praise this effort senator Gulalia Akbari said,”

Meanwhile scores of Senators have expressed concerns in ongoing insecurity condition in Helmand Province, accusing Afghan Government for not having necessary measurements for defending the country.

Senator Gul Ahmad Azami said,” Afghan Government has no coordination program for peace, there are contrary words coming from the President Ghani, CE Abdullah Abdullah and High peace council addresses, and there should be a well managed mechanism for peace process.”

At the end of the session senators have concluded that Afghan security heads should be summoned to provide more details on security.
