Senior Taliban Commander Killed in Parwan

Afghan local officials say a key Taliban commander killed in a drone strike by foreign troops in Parwan province on Saturday night.

The Taliban commander identified as Mullah Agha Gul was killed along with a member of his group in Ezat Khail area of Jabul Saraj district.

According to Parwan officials, the Taliban commander was involved in organizing most of terrorist attacks in the province.

Afghan security forces have beefed up security operations against militants recently as the war-weary Afghans have been witnessing a surge in attacks by Taliban fighters and Islamic State (IS) affiliates across the country.
