One Civilian Killed, Five Injured in Taliban’s Attack in Baghlan

At least one dead and five more have been injured after the Taliban insurgents attacked a vehicle in Chashma-e-Sher area of Pul-e-Khumri city, the capital of northern Baghlan province, officials confirmed Friday.

Provincial Police Officials said the vehicle was belong to the head of a private transport company “Tolo”, carrying his family from Mazar-e-Sharif city to Kabul when the militants targeted his car in Chashma-e-Sher area of Baghlan province, killing the company’s head and injuring his wife, daughter and a son.  

The attackers were disguised in police uniform, the victim’s family said, adding that despite asking for help, nobody was there to help and the attackers killed father in front of their eyes.

According to local medics, one dead and five injured people have been transferred to Pul-e-Khumri Hospital. 

Baghlan is one of relatively restive provinces of Afghanistan, where the Taliban militants operating in its number of remote districts and carrying such kind of attacks on government officials mostly.
