Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) says Afghan children are not safe and over six million of them living in critical conditions.

Afghanistan is one of the hardest place in the world to be a child with high child mortality rates, poor levels of nutrition and rampant sexual abuse, according to oversees bodies.

“The plans and polices taken by the government can’t meet the needs of all children or to support them. We hope the Pubic Work Ministry together with relative sectors work on the plans that could fundamentally address the problems of children. ” the AIHRC Spokesman, Bilal Sediqi said.

Two million Afghan children are engaged in difficult works, most of them are from internal displaced families.

“Two million children cannot attend school, get education and have access to necessary health services during their childhood,” Save the Children Spokesman, Maryam Atai said.

Escalation of conflict between insurgents and government forces is the main reason according to officials that has forced thousands of civilians to flee their homes and be in urgent need of assistance.
