Six people, including a woman, publicly flogged in Logar

Six people, including a woman, who were accused of sodomy and adultery have been publicly flogged in Afghanistan’s central province of Logar, the Supreme Court announced on Saturday.

They had been sentenced to 25-39 lashes and 1-2 years in prison by the primary court of Mohammad Agha district, Supreme Court said in a statement.

The verdict had been approved by the Supreme Court.

Rohullah Ghalib, the judge of the primary court of Mohammad Agha district, said that the Islamic Emirate is committed to the implementation of Allah’s instructions, and it fears no one in this regard.
