Special security division should be form to ensure security for Journalists

Afghanistan Television and Radio Union members have demanded the Government to form a special security division to ensure security and safety for all Afghan journalists in Afghanistan, the following demand has been made after 7 staffs of Tolo Tv were targeted by a suicide bomber last Wednesday in west of Kabul city.

They have urged that targeting civilians and media staffs is contrary to Islam principle and world existed laws, this should be stopped.

Chief of Afghanistan radio and Television union Ahmad Kamel said,” targeting media means destroying the Afghanistan system, I suggest the Afghan Government to form a special security division to ensure security for media workers in Afghanistan especially in Kabul city.”

Meanwhile head of Watan private Tv station Abdul Majeed Moqori said,” we hope the International community despite of condemning terrorist attacks on media staffs , to be a good cooperative partner to combat terrorism in Afghanistan.”

“All media in Afghanistan are committed in disseminating information, no one can threat their solidarity and unity head of the Tamadon Tv Mohammad Rahmati said.”

Once again the Afghanistan radio and Television head members insisted on the continuation of their commitments respecting Afghanistan’s constitution, media values and having the support of the Afghan Nation ,no pressure will destruct media.
