Suicide Attack Near Political Gathering in Kabul Kills Nine

According to a police official, a suicide bomber has detonated his explosives at one of the checkpoints for the gathering.
The attendees of the gathering were some members of parliament, members of Jamiat-e-Islami party and Noor’s supporters.
According to police, at least nine people including seven policemen and two civilians were killed and nine others injured in the incident.
Health Ministry officials, however, said that at least 25 injured people were carried to the hospital.
Islamic State claimed responsibility, according to Amaq, its official news agency. The Taliban denied involvement.
