Supreme Court Cannot Interpret the Law: Warns Zahir Qadeer

First Deputy of lower house of the parliament, Zahir Qadeer urged that the president order on the dismissed Ministers to continue to work is contrary to Afghanistan constitution, saying Supreme Court is not the law interpretation machine.

Lower house of the parliament dismissed 7 Ministers who failed to spend the allocated budgets for the year of 1394 in the past 4 days.

Earlier President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani had ordered the lower house parliament to delay summoning Ministers process, simultaneously demanding the Supreme Court to interpret the law to avoid further losing of the Ministers.

He said, “Respected Ministers can continue to their duties, until the Supreme Court decision is made.”

Deputy of the lower house Zahir Qadeer said, “No one can interpret the law, even the Supreme Court, if the Government is trying to cheat itself that’s a separate issue.”

“We as member of the house defend our rights about the President’s reacts and it’s stated in Afghanistan constitution,” MP Abdul Rahim Ayubi said.

Meanwhile Law maker Saleh Mohammad Saljoqi said, “President can demand the interpretation of law from any departments, but what the lower house as an independent power did, should be on the mind’s everyone.”

Further lower house member Helia Ershad said, “We never break the constitution, if President wanted few Ministers to be dismissed then he should have allowed Ministers to attend the lower house summoning sessions.”

Criticizing the lower house recent act second vice president in cabinet session demanded more information from the parliament.
