Taliban Attacks Kill 18 Afghan Security Forces in Takhar

At least 10 local policemen and eight national army soldiers were killed in Taliban attacks on army outposts in northern Takhar province, officials said on Friday.

The spokesman of Takhar province, Khalil Asir has confirmed the incident, saying at least 14 security forces were wounded in the Taliban overnight attacks.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the attack and said they had inflicted a high number of casualties.
