Taliban Commander Targeted by Drone Strike in Parwan

A top Taliban commander was killed in a foreign drone strike in northern Parwan province along with seven of his fighters, local officials said.

According to local officials, the strike was carried out on a Taliban gathering in Siagerd district on Wednesday evening.

The Taliban group has still not commented regarding the report.

The incident followed another in the capital, Kabul, on Wednesday, when an Afghan soldier when a gunman wearing an Afghan army uniform killed two Americans in capital, Kabul, near a coalition base that wounded three other US citizens.
