Taliban defeated in Qalay-Zal district of Kunduz: Officials

Provincial governor spokesman Sayed Mahmoud Danish said the militants attacked over the district governor building this morning around 5:00 am, but they were defeated.
At least 6 Taliban fighters were killed and 3 others wounded in clashes with the Afghan security forces, he added.
No Afghan forces or civilian were harmed in the incident.
Taliban has yet to make a comment about this incident, but a Taliban spokesman in a tweet early this morning claimed they have besieged Khash district of Badakhshan.
