Taliban Gunmen Attack Ghazni Prison, Free 352 Inmates
At least 352 prisoners were released by Taliban militants in Ghazni province of Afghanistan.
Mohammad Ali Ahmadi Deputy Governor of Ghazni province said on Monday that Last night Taliban militants have attacked the central jail in Ghazni province and set free three hundred and fifty two inmates after hours of clashes with security forces.
Taliban militants were armed with heavy and light weapon and suicide bombers were also used in the attack, Halim Angar provincial police chief told to Ariana News.
According to the reports five Afghan security forces were also killed in clashes with the Taliban fighters.
Taliban group have accepted the responsibility of the attack in a statement on their official Shahamat website claiming they have released four hundred detainees today at 2:00 am and transferred them all to the areas under their control.
