Taliban Militants Kill Baghlan Deputy Intelligence Chief

Abdul Ghafoor Mahmoud, the Deputy Intelligence Chief for Baghlan province was killed by the Taliban militants in Doshi district of Baghan, a security source confirmed.
A security source on the condition of anonymity told Ariana News that the incident has taken place at Kelagi area of Doshi district on Sunday morning.
According to the source, the Taliban fighters open fired on Mahmoud’s vehicle while he was traveling to Kabul city.
Local officials have not made a comment about the incident yet.
The Taliban militant group has not claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
Baghlan is among the insecure provinces in northern Afghanistan where the Taliban militants are actively operating in a number of its districts.
