Taliban Publicly Hangs Student in Maidan Wardak
The individual was identified as Faizulrahman who was reportedly on his way to meet his family when he was captured by Taliban. He was hanged to death in accusation of involvement in the death of a senior Taliban official.
Abdul Rahman Mangal, provincial governor spokesman said,” Faizulrahaman who was a student of Kabul Polytechnic University was captured by the Taliban in Sayed Abad district on Thursday and was hanged in Sewaka village in Chak district on Friday”.
He added that Taliban has killed the student in accusation of assassinating a Haqqani Network militant named Dr. Mirwais.
The official called the accusation baseless, adding the student had no relation with government too.
The group has yet to make a comment about the report.
