The Afghan Taliban’s negotiating team will meet Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad next week to hold “comprehensive discussions about Pak-Afghan relations, the armed group’s spokesman said Wednesday.

In a statement, Taliban Spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said that meeting will take place on 18th February following the invitation of Islamabad.

He said that relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan and issues pertaining to Afghan refugees and Afghan businessmen will be discussed in meeting with Pakistani PM.

He, meanwhile, said that Taliban delegation would also meet U.S. representatives in Islamabad.

It comes as the Taliban have held at least four rounds of peace talks with the United States on peace.

In their last meeting in Qatar in January, the sides agreed to the framework of a peace deal.

Taliban said that the next round of talks with the U.S. will be held on February 25th  in Doha, the capital of Qatar

“The next round will resume on the 25th of February 2019 in Qatari capital, Doha as per agreement reached during the previous meeting,” Mujahid said.
