Taliban Shadow District Governor Killed In Airstrike In Nangarhar

Four Taliban militants including a Taliban shadow district governor were killed following a drone strike in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan, a statement from provincial governor office said on Wednesday.

Abdul Haleem also known as Qarman, Taliban so-called district governor for Bati Kot district was killed in a drone strike in Chardehy area of the district early this morning, the statement noted.

According to the statement, two other armed militants including Mawlawi Abbas a member of Taliban’s commission in the district were also killed in the attack and one more militant was injured.

Taliban have yet to make comments.
