Taliban so-called judge among 14 killed

At least 14 insurgents including a Taliban judge were killed and 7 others injured in two separate incidents in Ghazni and Farah provinces of Afghanistan.

Four Taliban militants including their so-called judge for Ab Band district of Ghazni province were killed in an ambush by Afghan police late on Monday, Ministry of Interior said in a statement.

“Mullah Abdul Shukor the Taliban so-called judge for Ab Band district was killed along with his three individuals in a police ambush yesterday evening in Ghazni province,” the statement said.

According to the statement the judge was involved in planning and organizing terror attacks and specially in presiding field courts in Ghazni province surroundings.

Meanwhile; in a separate statement MoI claims that at least 10 Taliban fighters were killed and 7 others wounded after they attacked a police checkpoint in Karez village in Farah province.

The second incident has occurred on Monday afternoon.

Some weaponry, a vehicle and a motorcycle were also seized from the Taliban during the two incidents while no police forces were harmed, the statements added.

Taliban yet to make a comment about this report.
