Taliban’s influence in HPC causes Peace Process face failure

Muhammad Ismael Khan, former Jihadi commander in an interview with Ariananews has said that Taliban’s influence in the High Peace Council (HPC) caused the Peace Process face failure.

Ismael Khan revealed secrets of High Peace Council which were supposed to start peace talks with the armed Taliban group.

The former Jihadi commander claimed that some of the members of peace council link with Taliban and support terrorist against peace in Afghanistan.

Even he said that some of the member of the High peace Council are Taliban themselves.

“Some of the members of this council were connected to Taliban in the past and still has not disconnected their relations with Taliban. They are destroying the council and inform the Taliban the weaknesses of the government.” Ismael Khan said.

The Jihadi leader believes that government’s efforts in bringing peace to the country means loss of opportunities.

“The further increase of war, increase of Afghan militant’s death toll, widening of the war and the way of slaughtering people implies we do not reach peace.” Khan noted.

Earlier, this Jihadi leader accused government of national unity of pushing the Jihadies away from the government affairs.

However, seven months passed since the formation of Afghanistan new government but nothing regarding peace talks with Taliban has appeared so far.
