Afghanistan Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoI) says that the militant groups have increased their attacks in 2016 to show saber-rattling.

MoI declares that the armed oppositions of the government are attempting to revenge their defeats in Helmand province and other parts of the country with launching suicide attacks.

“The reason of increasing attacks is the defeat of enemies. The terrorist groups are trying to make up their previous failures with accelerating suicide attacks,” said Sidiq Sidiqi, spokesman of MoI.

With the two high-profile attacks in one day near the Kabul International Airport on Monday, the feared militant groups have gone back on the offensive.

Earlier Monday, a suicide bomber struck a street leading to the city’s international airport, near where the second blast took place hours after.

The spike in violence coincides with a renewed international push to revive peace talks with the resurgent Taliban.

Meanwhile, Afghan border police has also arrested a Pakistani terrorist group of nine in Nazeyan district of Nangarhar province.

It has been said that the terrorist group has entered to Afghanistan to insecure various parts of Nangarhar.

The Taliban’s annual winter offensive in Afghanistan can be characterized by waves of violence across the country and, in particular, a string of attacks ringing the capital, Kabul. The attacks appear mainly to target Afghanistan’s infrastructure, particularly its airports.
